Sydney Olympic Park
At Olympic Park, we’re creating a hotel space to serve as a physical embodiment of the stories the earth has to tell. By combining the concepts of sporting theatre, traditional spear fishing, and nature’s imprint, we create a fully-immersive environment that represents a sense of union between tradition, nature and performance.
We are inspired by the human body in motion, the material context around traditional fishing techniques and nature – like a water bird meeting a butterfly stroke.
We celebrate the human form, its motion and its precision, and the similarities between the kinds of activities which would have taken place at Homebush in 1788 and today.
Rich, natural woods and unfinished edges evoke a sense of “rough-refined” elegance, while clean-lined fixtures add an element of modernism and brass and copper accents subtly hint at the tools and process of farming and spear fishing.
Crowne Plaza will feature 188 guestrooms and suites, a luxury reception with stylish lobby, rooftop pool, gym and studio – as well as first-class hospitality spaces that include a lounge and bar, outdoor dining, specialty dining and a rooftop bar.
