Only a few people know the true identity of Hawkerboi, and we are keeping well and truly shtum!

Hawkerboi has been a player on the Dubai food scene for over a year as a mysterious supper club.  It has finally found its permanent home in the new restaurant development by EatX at The Park in JLT.

Whilst ‘Hawkerboi’ keeps his anonymity, Mitchell & Eades were given the opportunity to create the engaging interiors and make a bold statement as we arrived into the Middle East.  Complimented by a fantastic supperclub style menu, the restaurant is set to become one of the front runners on the casual dining scene in Dubai.

Positioned in a three storey purpose built venue at JLT, the design is an ode to Hawkerboi’s former life in the Far East, with influences from the culinary scenes in Singapore, Malyasia and Thailand.

The moody and eclectic palette was inspired by the setting of hawker halls at night.  Refined elements such as dark timber floors offset the concrete and blackened metals, and it is all brightly lit by the iconic red LED tube that winds its way through the restaurant pulling you through the space.

Hawkerboi’s design offers a balanced combination of bar and restaurant, and the quality gives it an edge over many other casual dining hot spots.
