Sage Hotel
The 120-key Sage Hotel, Ringwood is located 28km from Melbourne’s CBD and 33km from the Yarra Valley, placing it both physically and symbolically mid-way between the two locations.
Opened in 2017, this suburban hotel’s design draws inspiration from the principles of weaving. People are moving between the tight and eclectic Melbourne laneways to the broad swathe of the Yarra Valley. The people are weaving together to form a mesh, meeting at Sage Hotel, Ringwood.
Dynamic, cosmopolitan and stylish, Melbourne is Australia’s cultural capital. Its Gold Rush–era architecture and multiculturalism reflect the city’s recent history, while its edgy street art, world-class museums and laneways point to its present-day personality.
With its stylish wineries, winding roads, abundant artists’ studios, craft stores and renowned gardens, further east the Yarra Valley holds a level of sophistication bred from a combination of the stylish city to one side, and the open wine country within.
Sage Hotel weaves together elements of both destinations. It is the first hotel built above a retail precinct, Eastland, as well as the first NEXT Story group hotel in Australia.
Our designers brought Melbourne’s street art to the suburbs, with uniquely commissioned street art by local artist Mike Eleven taking centre stage in the hotel’s lobby.
Sage Hotel weaves the notions of work, rest, play and shop through its perfectly calibrated F&B offerings, co-working function spaces, lounge and gym.
