Mr Brown

A new venture from the same trio that brought Hong Kong Francis, Mr Brown is a specialty grill house in trendy Wan Chai.

For this design, we chose materials to impress upon all things a grill house need be: charred timbers, smoky walls, moody art, with worn tanned leathers and plaid combinations in the seating.

Charred timber panelling is dappled with bronzed glass and blackened steel, to form the façade of a casual area for guests to mingle.  (this area is used for group bookings or just a casual drinking spot with small bites…)

An elongated kitchen offers the best seat in the house to watch the chefs in action, up close and personal.  The raised platform booths at the deep end of the restaurant offer small parties some more privacy.  Staff, like the fitout, are warm and sophisticated without pretension.

Mr Brown proves that dining concepts need not be too complex to win over guests. Sometimes all you need is a simple sophistication, good grill, and great meats to win over your customers.
