Yarri

Yarri is a combined restaurant, cellar door and wine bar in the West Australian holiday town of Dunsborough.

The interiors at Yarri are richly layered and textured, with all materials native to the Margaret River wine region and sourced locally.

We were particularly proud to incorporate Yarri wood from the site, as well as limestone, worn leather, copper and terracotta, reflecting the bushland palette of the venue’s location.

Local makers of the furniture and steel work showcase the talent available in the South West WA area.  Custom-designed lighting from Artefact gave an industrial edge with a contemporary twist.

Inside, guests watch on from the chef’s bar as the kitchen work their magic or select fine wines from the Snake and Herring team up at the bar.

Outside, the courtyard is surrounded by rammed earth walls and sandstone.  A feature tree with seating underneath provides dappled shade for relaxing through those summer days.
